Thanks – I can’t reproduce that, but I’m using Outlook 2007. Please could you mail that attachment to pop3test@smartsintegrator.com, so I can pick it up from there?

Thanks,

Ben.

Ben,
I’m using Outlook 2003 and I’m sending as an attachment to SmartsIntegrator. The blank line is the first line of the file.

Thanks,

Thanks J

So to confirm, if you send this from Outlook 2003 (or is that 2007?) as an attachment, or as a message from SmartsIntegrator, you end up with a blank first (or last?) line? (Apologies for my confusion!)

I’ve just run this through SmartsIntegrator here and all seems fine.

Thanks,

Ben.

Ben,
Attached is one of the files I processed. I’m sending this via Outlook 2003.

Hi J

Very strange – could you possibly send a copy of the attachment for me to test with?

Thanks,

Ben.

Ben,

I noticed the attachments sent via email transport are prepended with a CRLF prior to the first record in the file. I haven’t yet received anything on the current map and schema you delivered, so cannot verify if that character is still prepending to the file. It certainly does interesting things to the output data. I’m not certain why I’m not getting data across my email transport, but I assume it’s probably an error on my part. Just curious about that additional character.

When I use outlook to send the file as an attachment, I get the crlf prepended to the file. If I use a different client to send mail, there is no prepend. Interesting…

Best regards,
J
