Hi K

It’s all done client-side via an Outlook 2007 add-in, but it is done efficiently and scalably and can support thousands of clients.

Thanks,

Ben.

Thanks Ben,

Also, you mention Outlook 2007 Forms and Queue integration. Is all such integration client-side, or do you have MS Exchange connectivity?

Kind regards,

Hi

Thanks for your enquiry, and sorry for the missing information on our web site. SmartsIntegrator does indeed support mirroring and clustering, in many ways to a greater extent than BizTalk. As in BizTalk you can create multiple logical servers across multiple machines, and assign the same role to more than one server, thus giving you redundancy. If all operations (ports and WWF) are assigned to servers spanning more than one physical machine then you’ll always be able to take one or more machines down without affecting service availability. Unlike BizTalk though, you can freely assign receive functions across machines without contention issues.

There is no single point of failure beyond the database, which would need to be clustered (as for BizTalk).

The AS/2 Receive Adapter is the only other consideration, which would need to be configured in a web farm or similar environment if hardware redundancy on incoming AS/2 messages required.

Let me know if I can help you further,

Thanks,

Ben.

Hi – I’ve just stumbled across your website as I was looking at BizTalk for a few companies that I work with – however, as I’m sure you’ve heard many times before, I am really put off by the licensing costs, particularly as I scale to multiple servers for continuity purposes.

Your feature comparison list doesn’t make any mention of how you scale across multiple servers – do you have any clustering/load-balancing. Etc functionality built in?
