Hi S

How strange – your port settings look fine, and I’ve just been through the tutorial from start to finish and all is fine.

I’m sorry to have to ask obvious questions, but before we proceed to the next stage, could you verify :

(1)       Whether there are any errors in the Tracking log. To see this, click Tracking in the Explorer Tree. Then ensure the time range encompasses a period when you have been running SmartsIntegrator with a file in C:\FilesIn – if in doubt set it to a large range. Then select Severity Filter ‘All’ and click ‘Search’. Please send details of any errors or relevant messages back to me.

(2)       That the Server assigned to the Port is running. To check this, click Servers in the Explorer Tree. Then ensure the BIZTALK server has a status of ‘Running’ (this may take a few seconds to populate). You should also verify that a process called SmartsIntegrator_BIZTALK.exe is running.

(3)       That the Receive Port is enabled. To check this, select the Port in the Explorer Tree, and verify that the status is Enabled.

(4)       That the BIZTALK server runs on the same physical machine as the C:\FilesIn folder that you are putting the files in.

(5)       That the account under which the BIZTALK server runs has read and delete access to C:\FilesIn.

If you’re able to provide remote desktop access, I’ll be happy to log on and isolate the problem myself – let me know.

Once again thanks for your patience and sorry that you’ve experienced a problem – we’ll get it resolved promptly.

Ben.

Hi S

I’m very sorry that you’ve encountered a problem, and we hope to get to the bottom of it promptly. I also apologise for the delay in replying.

When you drop your file in the filein directory, does it disappear or stay there?

Could you please send an export of your ports? To do this, please right click in the SmartsIntegrator Explorer tree, and then select ‘Export..’ from the menu. Please ensure that your two ports are checked for export, and then select an XML file. Please mail this file back to me so that I can check your settings.

Many thanks,

Ben

I'm trying to go though your tutorials at the moment, and with this demo, I have followed the instructions, checked everything as you suggest, and when I drop a file in the filein directory its doesn't appear in the recieved port.
